ROBERT C BURNS

Robert C Burns studied at Yale. He illustrated the comic adaptation of Alexandre Dumas's novel 'Twenty Years After' for the legendary Classics Illustrated series in 1947. He was known for his portraits and was in fact the winner of the national Life magazine 'Our men in the service artist award' in the 1940s, during World War II. He was a professor of drawing and painting at Trenton State College in the 1970s.
