THREE FAMOUS MYSTERIES ARNOLD HICKS Arnold Lorne Hicks contributed several comic adaptations to the legendary Classics Illustrated series for Gilberton. He illustrated among others Mark Twain's 'The Prince and the Pauper' (1946), Fenimore Cooper's 'The Spy' (1948), and Alexandre Dumas's 'Silas Marner' (1949). Hicks has also illustrated humorous back-up features in Fight Comics, such as the comical 'Dusy Rhodes' and the boxing comic 'Kayo Kirby'. He was also an illustrator of children's books and painter. |
